Bagoong Fried Rice with Mango Recipe

Alright! Before we begin, let me first list down all of the ingredients we’ll need for today’s awesome recipe. Are you ready? Here it goes! We need tomato, onion, garlic, bagoong (shrimp paste), mango, chili, spring onion, salt, pepper, sugar, oil, and of course, rice! Oh, and for this recipe, we’ll be using L.O. Rice or Steamed Glutinous Rice so that the dish remains saucy and savory. 

Okay, now that we’ve got everything that we need, it’s finally time to cook! This one’s very quick and easy to do so stay alert, alright? The first thing that we need to do is of course heat the pan, pour some oil, and then sautè the onion and garlic until they become translucent. Next, we can now add the tomato, mango, and bagoong. Mix them all well until the ingredients become fully incorporated with each other. After that, we can now sprinkle the salt, pepper, and sugar to season and the red chili to add some spice! 

Finally, we can now add the L.O. Rice and mix everything well until all the ingredients are combined and evenly distributed. Keep on mixing the dish until the rice becomes cooked. And voila! Serve this yummy Bagoong Fried Rice with Mango while it’s hot then just sprinkle some spring onions for garnish.

Ingredients.

  • 3 cups of L.O rice
  • 1 pc tomato 
  • 1 pc onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • ¼ cup of  shrimp paste
  • 1 pc green mango
  • 1 pc chili (optional)
  • Spring onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Oil for saute

Procedure.

  1. Heat the pan with oil then sauté the garlic and onion until translucent.
  2. Add the tomato, mango and shrimp paste. Mix well
  3. Add the chili and season with salt , pepper and sugar.
  4. Add the L.O rice and mix it well until well cooked.
  5. Serve while hot and garnish with spring onion. Enjoy
