Bistek na Manok Recipe
Alright, let’s do it! You don’t have to worry because all the ingredients we’ll be using can be easily bought from nearby grocery stores and public markets! Actually, most of the ingredients may already be in stock in your kitchen so better check them out first before buying outside! To begin, the ingredients we’ll need for today are, of course, chicken, white onion, garlic, butter, soy sauce, calamansi, pepper, sugar, seasoning granules, and oil. That’s it!
Now that we’ve already got everything that we need, it’s time to begin cooking our delicious Bistek na Manok. First of all, we need to thoroughly wash the chicken and get rid of excess fats and dirt from the meat. Then, simply chop the chicken into your desired serving sizes. Make sure that you drain as much water as you can, okay? Now it’s time to marinate the chicken! To do that, simply prepare a bowl and combine the chicken, soy sauce, calamansi, seasoning granules, and pepper. It’s better to let the chicken marinate overnight but at least 1 hour is more than enough.
After marinating, it’s finally time to cook! Heat the pan and a generous amount of butter. Then, sautè the white onions until translucent and aromatic. After that, set the onions aside and add some oil into the pan to fry the chicken. Make sure that you only fry the marinated chicken until its skin turns golden brown, okay? We don’t want to overcook our chicken. Once that happens, simply set the chicken aside for a while. After removing some of the oil, add the garlic then sautè for at least one minute. Then, add the remaining sauce from the marinade into the pan. This leftover sauce holds a lot of flavors and we don’t want to waste any of that!
Finally, add the pan-fried chicken into the pan and keep on mixing all the ingredients up until all the flavors are well-incorporated with each other. Put on the cover then let the chicken cook for a while. To finish things up, add some sugar to taste the white onions. Leave some of the white onion aside to serve as the garnish, okay? Just keep on stirring until the sauce is reduced to your preference. And voila! Just like that, you’ve successfully cooked the delicious Bistek na Manok recipe on your own. Serve it hot with freshly-cooked white rice, and some ice-cold soda, and you’re good to go!
So, how was it? Very easy, right? I’m sure everyone will like your newfound recipe and it’ll be an absolute blockbuster. Serve this delicious dish during family picnics, casual dinners, or even family reunions!
