Fillet Mignon Steak in Adobo Sauce Recipe


  • For the steak:
  • 600 grams fillet mignon steak cut into 1/4-inch thick slices
  • Salt and pepper
  • For the adobo sauce:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsps vinegar
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Vegetable oil
  • 5 cloves of garlic finely chopped
  • 2 tbsps slurry
  • Water
  • For serving:
  • 6-9 pcs marble potatoes boiled until soft
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper


  • Cook the steak in high heat until seared on all sides.
  • Cook until desired doneness. Set aside.
  • For the adobo sauce:
  • On the same pan, deglaze it with the soy sauce.
  • Stirring all the bits on the bottom of the pan.
  • Add the chopped garlic and vinegar.
  • Simmer until the vinegar is cooked.
  • Season with freshly ground pepper.
  • Simmer until thick.
  • Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Serve the adobo sauce with the steak.
  • For the potatoes:
  • In a clean pan, melt the butter with the olive oil.
  • Sauté the boiled potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and add the chopped parsley.
  • Served with the steak.
