All of the ingredients that we need today can be bought from the nearest local market or grocery store. And also, the steps and procedures to make this Crispy Fried Chicken ala Jollibee Chicken Joy Recipe are very easy to follow. It might take some time but I believe that you’ll be able to master it quickly!
Before we start, let me just list down everything that we need, okay? The ingredients we need for today are, of course, chicken. Preferably, we’ll be using chicken legs and thighs because these are the juiciest and tastiest parts of the chicken. Next, we need salt, pepper, seasoning granules, fish sauce, calamansi, egg, breading mix, flour, cornstarch, water, oil, and paprika. The paprika is only optional but it’s a huge help in adding flavor and color to our fried chicken, so it’s better to add it if possible.
Now that we’ve got everything that we need, it’s time to fry some chicken! The first thing that we need to do is to thoroughly wash and cut the chicken into our preferred sizes. Make sure to remove the excess fat and then drain the chicken accordingly. Next, it’s time to marinate! Just combine salt, pepper, seasoning granules, paprika, fish sauce, and calamansi then mix them all well with the chicken. Refrigerate the marinated chicken for at least three (3) hours, but it’s better to do it overnight if possible!
After successfully marinating the chicken, it’s time to prepare the batter and breading. In a clean bowl, combine the breading mix, egg, cornstarch, water, and flour. This will serve as the batter mixture, just mix them all well and set them aside. In another clean bowl, combine the remaining breading mix and flour to make the breading mixture. Now that we have the marinated chicken, the batter, and the flour mixture, it’s time to make some juicylicious and crispylicious chicken at home!
Just coat the marinated chicken with the batter first then dredge it into the flour mixture. Keep on doing this for all of the remaining chicken. Finally, just heat the pan, pour some oil, and fry the breaded chicken until it’s crispy and golden brown like Jollibee’s Chicken Joy! Serve it with freshly-cooked white rice and your favorite gravy, then you’re good to go!
Boom! And just like that, you successfully made your own version of Jollibee’s iconic fried chicken. Easy, right? These juicylicious and crispylicious chickens are perfect for all types of occasions be it a birthday, reunion, or a casual family dinner. Just serve it with your favorite side dishes and refreshing drinks and I’m sure that you will all have a gastronomic feast.
