All of the ingredients we’ll be using today are always readily available in nearby grocery stores or local markets. Some of them might even be already in your kitchen! And just like what I’ve mentioned, the baking procedures are beginner-friendly and easy to follow.
Before we start, let us first have a quick recap of all the required ingredients, shall we? We’ll be needing heavy cream, butter, egg, canned corn, all-purpose flour, Polenta corn meal, white sugar, baking powder, vanilla, and salt. If heavy cream is not available, we can use evaporated milk as its alternative. Oh, and don’t throw out the corn water from the canned corn, okay? We’ll be using that because it contains very rich flavors!
Now that we’ve got everything we need, let’s start! After preparing all of the ingredients beforehand, the first thing that we have to do is combine all of the dry ingredients. That includes flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt. So in a clean mixing bowl, simply pour all of these and begin mixing them thoroughly. Next, we can now add the egg, evaporated milk or heavy cream, corn water, and some melted butter. Continue mixing all of these until all the ingredients are well-incorporated and balanced with each other.

- 1 cup water from the corn
- ¾ cup heavy cream OR evaporated milk
- ½ cup melted butter
- 1 whole egg
- 1 can corn
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup corn meal (Polenta)
- ¾ cup white sugar
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tbsp. vanilla
- Pinch of salt
- Prepared the all ingredients.
- In the big mixing bowl mix the dry ingredients which is flour, corn meal, sugar, baking powder and salt then mix it well.
- Next add the egg, evaporated milk, corn water and melted butter then continues mixing.
