How to Make Avocado Graham Float

Avocado with condensed milk is one of the classic Filipino desserts you can easily make at home by chilling it in the fridge or adding some ice to it – and eaten straight away! Back then, the Graham Float recipe usually came with mangoes or fruit cocktails, which are the classic ingredients for this dessert. Later on, the avocado variety was introduced, especially when the fruit was in season.

This recipe was inspired by the Mango Float or Crema de Mangga, another Filipino-style icebox cake dessert. Like the Avocado Graham Float, the original recipe is made with condensed milk, whipped cream, and Graham crackers. The only difference is the fruit used for this recipe. Other variants also use strawberries, cherries, bananas, pineapple, or mix everything. In short, you can use whatever fruit you like for this recipe. You can even combine your favorite fruits to make your own version of Graham Float.

But if your tree is ready to be harvested or your neighbor gave you some of their fresh produce, the Avocado Graham Float recipe is worth trying. You’ll only need to buy the additional ingredients to make this yummy dessert. To make this dessert, start by peeling and removing the pits of your avocados. Next, blend the avocados with the condensed milk until you have a smooth mixture. Blend it again with the crema-asada. For the last time, add the all-purpose cream to your mixture. Once the cream mixture is finished, the next step is to layer the ingredients in a square or rectangular container.

Place the Graham crackers in the container. Pour the cream mixture, and sprinkle the crushed Grahams. Repeat the steps and add the sliced avocados to the last layer before sprinkling the crushed Grahams. Afterward, refrigerate your Avocado Graham Float overnight to let it set completely. You can also chill it for a few hours before serving it to make a quick dessert for your guests. But what if you don’t have a blender at home? How can you make this recipe? If you have made ice candy before, you can apply the same process to make the Avocado Graham Float without a blender.

First, scoop out the avocado flesh and mash it in a bowl. Set your mashed avocado aside. The next step is to prepare your cream mixture. In a clean mixing bowl, pour the condensed milk, crema-asada, and all-purpose cream. Mix everything until smooth. Next, add the mashed avocados to the cream mixture and thoroughly mix it. How to Make Avocado Graham Float


  • 2 avocados peeled and pit removed
  • 1 can 300ml condensed milk
  • 1 can 370ml crema-asada
  • 1 pack 250ml all-purpose cream
  • 2 packs graham crackers
  • 1 pack crushed grahams
  • 1 to 2 avocados sliced for topping


  • Put avocado and condensed milk in the blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Add crema-asada then blend again.
  • Add all-purpose cream then blend again for the last time. Set aside the cream mixture.
  • Make a layer of graham crackers at the bottom of a rectangle or square container. Spread some cream mixture evenly on top of the crackers. Spread crushed grahams on top of the cream mixture. Repeat the process until you make 3-4 layers depending on the size of the container and until you consume all the ingredients.
  • Refrigerate overnight to set completely.
