And as for us Filipinos, many of us drank salabat or ginger tea because it had favorable effects to help avoid coughs and colds which are common symptoms of the virus. But let’s face it, not everyone, especially kids, is able to drink salabat. After all, it’s not particularly delicious for everyone.

Lemon Ginger Juice Recipe

Let’s start! Be prepared because this will be a very quick and easy recipe to do. It won’t even take more than 5 minutes to make this cool and refreshing drink! Oh, and that being said, I assure you that the procedures are very easy to follow and that you can make this awesome drink whenever the cravings hit. And of course, all of the ingredients can be easily bought from nearby grocery stores and local markets as well. Actually, they may already be in your refrigerator! 

Before we start, here are all of the ingredients we’ll need. Of course, we need some lemons, ginger, honey, and some water. That’s it. Oh, and you can also add some ice if you want it to be more refreshing. So now that we’ve already gathered everything we need, let’s begin! 

First, we need to prepare the ingredients. For the lemon, simply slice it in half. We’ll be using one half for squeezing and the other one for garnish. Then for the ginger, simply dice it into cubes so that the flavor can be extracted easily. Now that everything’s already prepared, simply put some water in the pot, add the diced ginger, and bring it to a boil. Once the mixture reaches the boiling point, simmer it for 15 minutes on low fire only, okay?

After that, let it cool for a while, and then strain the mixture to remove the excess debris of ginger. Then, season the ginger tea with some honey and a squeeze of lemon. And finally, stir the mixture thoroughly then serve it with some more lemon slices and ice to make it more refreshing and thirst-quenching. That’s it! Enjoy!

How to Make Healthy Lemon Ginger Juice
 
Ingredients
  • 1 pc lemon (half squeeze, half slices)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 liter water
  • 100grams ginger (dice)
Instructions
  1. Put the water in a pot and add the dice ginger. Bring to boil
  2. Simmer for 15 minutes in low fire only.
  3. Strained and seasoned with honey, and lemon juice.
  4. Served with ice and sliced lemon. Enjoy
