Homemade Super Moist Chocolate Cake in a Cup Recipe
Let’s begin! Let me start by first going over all of our ingredients, alright? For the cake batter, we’ll be needing all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, iodized salt, brown sugar, corn oil or canola oil, white vinegar, water, and some 12 oz cups which will be used as our containers. Now, for the frosting ingredients, we’ll need white sugar, egg whites, water, vanilla, and lemon juice. If lemon juice isn’t available, you can use calamansi juice as a substitute. Okay, since we’ve already gathered everything that we need, it’s finally time to make some delicious cake!
To make the Super Moist Chocolate Cake batter, the first thing we’ll do is to combine all of the dry ingredients. In a clean mixing bowl, pour the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix all of these ingredients together until they’re well-combined, okay? Next, add brown sugar, oil, water, and white vinegar and mix them well. Also, remember to strain the mixture to remove unnecessary lumps. After doing that, you can now transfer the mixture into a baking pan with lined parchment paper. Finally, bake the cake in a preheated oven with a temperature of 350°F for about 15-20 minutes or until the cake mixture is already firm.
While our cake batter is baking, we can now start making the delicious frosting! To start, simply prepare a pot then add some sugar and water. Remember not to mix them together until the sugar completely dissolves into the water. You should wait until the best state of consistency of caramelized sugar is achieved for the best results, alright? The recommended consistency is when it reaches the so-called “Soft Ball Stage”, so take note of that! While waiting for the sugar to caramelize, you can beat the egg whites and lemon juice in the meantime. Next, you can now gradually add the caramelized sugar. After about 5 minutes of beating, you can add the vanilla and beat again for about 5-7 minutes. And there you have it! You’ve successfully made the icing. To make it even better, you can always add some food coloring, but that’s up to you.
Alright! Now that both our Super Moist Chocolate Cake batter and frosting are ready, it’s finally time to combine them and add the final touches. To do that, let us first distribute the cake mixture into each of the 12oz cups. In every 12oz cup, just pour about ½ cup, this is to make sure that there’s enough room left for the frosting. Add some boiled icing on top and keep on doing this until you make a total of 4 layers. And to add the final touches, make sure to put more icing on the top layer and sprinkle some chocolate chips for the best results! Cover the cups with lids, let them chill for a while, and enjoy!
Ta-da! And just like that, you’ve already created a very quick and delicious dessert that every member of your family will absolutely love. It’s also a brilliant idea for those who want to start a small business! It’s quick and convenient to make, the ingredients are very affordable, and the final product is also easy to market. See?
