How to Make Monte Cristo Sandwich (Pinoy-Style)
  • 3 slices white bread
  • 2 slices ham, cooked
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • 6 tbsp cheese, grated
  • 3 tsp plain mayonnaise
  • salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 5 tsp evaporated milk
  1. Remove the crust of each white bread.
  2. Spread mayo on each slice of bread.
  3. Spread grated cheese on each slice of bread.
  4. Make a 3 layer sandwich by putting a slice of ham in between the slices of bread.
  5. Apply some pressure to the sandwich using a spatula or back of a spoon. This is to flatten and make the sandwich intact. Set aside.
  6. In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, evaporated milk, and salt. Mix well.
  7. Brush the mixture on top, bottom, and sides of the sandwich.
  8. In a pan, melt the butter.
  9. Fry the sandwich until top and bottom part is golden brown. Toss some melted butter on the sides.
  10. Remove from heat. Slice the sandwich into two.
  11. Serve with your favorite drink. Enjoy your Monte Cristo sandwich!
