Simple & Easy Sinuglaw Recipe (My Own Version of Sinuglaw) #1 sa SARAP
  • 500 grams pork belly, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, diced
  • 2-3 chili peppers (siling labuyo), chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1 small sprite soda
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped spring onions for garnish
  1. Marinate Pork: In a bowl, combine thinly sliced pork belly with sprite soda and season with salt and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. Grill Pork: Heat a grill pan or barbecue grill over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated pork slices until cooked through and slightly charred, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the grilled pork slices. Add diced tomatoes, chopped chili peppers, sugar, vinegar and diced cucumber. Mix everything gently to combine.
  4. Adjust Seasoning: Taste the sinuglaw mixture and adjust the seasoning according to your preference. You can add more vinegar, salt, or pepper as needed.
  5. Serve: Transfer the chilled sinuglaw into a serving dish. Garnish with chopped spring onions. Serve with ice cubes on the side, if preferred, for a refreshing touch.
